Carson's 1st Georgia game

Back in September I decided on the morning of that Carson & I would join Mandy & Riley to the GA/Coastal Carolina game. This was a great game to take the girls to because it was not very crowded at all.....and they were playing a not so great team. We had the best time!! The girls were so well behaved and loved watching the game. I was amazed that they were so into it. It was so much fun to walk through campus & show Carson that this where Daddy went to school. Even got to show her the bell... She wanted to ring it but we'll have to do that when we go back with Daddy. So many memories come flooding back when I go back there...can't wait to back!!

We took a trip to California....

We went to California over Labor Day & it was amazing!! My sweet parents treated us to this trip and we will be forever grateful. I was a little worried about this being Carson's 1st plane ride but she did awesome!!

The plane was great because we each had our own television screen. Carson was able to watch children's stuff which entertained her for most of the trip. Also Cooper was with us on the way out there and that was a BIG help.

We stayed in a hotel right next door to my parents condo and that was perfect. Very easy to walk over to their place when we were ready for our outings.

We did so many things on this trip.....Ventura, farmers market, Beverly Hills, Ojai, LA, Malibu Chili cook off, meeting my parents friends, going to see the 92 year old singer:), Santa Monica, best outlet mall ever, oh, & we even saw Tori Spelling and her cute family...... the list goes on & on!!

Yep, it was the trip of a life time!!! Thank you Mom & Dad!! We are so thankful and blesses to have been able to come out & see where you live. We can see why y'all love it. We love y'all!!

We love Fall Ya'll

Oh, how I do love Fall!! Weather is great, lovely to be outside and the holidays are right around the corner.

Some photos from today:)

Oh dear!! We are in trouble when she's 15!! Btw...her nickname is Diva:)

She is now in a good mood!

Today was Brianna's bday party. Carson had so much fun celebrating,

These two blond hair, blue eyed beauties are trouble! Both are sweet as pie and full of attitude!
Brianna is Carson's favorite friend at school. They both communicate extremely well & I get their cute friendship.

My Cup Runneth Over

We had Carson's 3rd bday today and every time I saw her smiling face I thought of one my favorite lines from a favorite movie....Hope Floats. My Cup Runneth Over was the recurring quote.....This parenthood thing is a crazy emotional journey....many, many highs.... & I wouldn't say lows....I would say valleys:)

The day was filled with laughter, bright sun, playing and just celebrating Carson. I totally know that I am biased but she was a dream child. She smiled through many people singing her happy birthday (even though she doesn't love all eyes being on her) & let others help her open her gifts. She just kind of rolled with the day & we are very thankful!

Long over due

Well, what can I say we've been busy as bees this summer. Where has the time gone?? Lots of pool time, visits from family & our normal running around.

Carson went to Macon for a long weekend and Honey took a picture for me for Carson's bday invitation. Cannot believe our girl is going to be 3 in less than a month!! She has requested a princess bday party....of course she has:)

Seriously, how cute are these two?? They LOVE to play together and I am so glad they will grow up alongside each other so close in age. Blessings!!

We will be taking a journey across country in 2 weeks to visit my parents in Cali. Carson's 1st plane ride and she is very excited!! We are too.... It will be so much fun to see her reactions to the West Coast........

Fireworks, boat rides and swimming pools.....that's the 4th of July

For the past few years we have been going to Lake Blackshear for the 4th of July.  Mandy's parents have had a lake house there as long as I can remember and then within the past 10 years they redid the house and made it their permanent residence.  To say the least.....it's heavenly.  The house and lake hold so many memories for me and I am so glad that Daniel and Carson are here to share the memories now.  Lake Blackshear is in South GA and it represents all things southern!  Country music, smoked sausage, ice cold beer, boat rides, jet skis and good southern hospitality.

To say that it's simple would be an understatement....and I mean that in the best possible way.  You see when you're there your biggest concern is should you wear your flip flops or not.....or did you put on sunscreen.

Yes, I know....entirely to much sun for me!

Last year Carson wasn't real keen when we ventured out on the boat.  This year she laughed and giggled and looked over in the water the whole time and thoroughly enjoyed it.  She also discovered she loves fishing!  Well that is great news for Daniel....now he has a fishing partner!!  I love that she appears to be a girly girl and then she'll surprise you with a love of fishing or digging in the dirt in the backyard.

Tired girl but she was having so much fun~

Summer Time & the Livin' is Easy

Doesn't this photo just scream summer?? I think so. Carson went to Macon last weekend to let Daniel have a few adult outings over the weekend. We are so fortunate to have family so close by so that she may spend the weekend with them.

Perhaps she's an old soul......

From time to time (more often these days than not) our precious child will say things that I have to believe she's truly an old soul.

Take for instance last night.....She is telling Daniel that she loves him over and over again.  Daniel says "I love you too."  Carson looks at him and says "But sometimes I don't like you."  Daniel and I look at each other trying not to die laughing.  "When is that?" Daniel asks.  "When you drop me off at school."  Well, can't argue w/her that that is not her favorite part of the day.  But really how on earth would she even think to say that?!?!  And I swear she has not heard that come out of my mouth!

Another scenario.....We are at the beach and Daniel and I go out for an adult night.  Honey and Papa are saying prayers w/Carson before bed.  Honey asks Carson what she would like to pray for....."Hair." Carson says.  LOL!

We are truly blessed beyond measure with this witty, smart as a whip, sweet and loving child.  Not sure what we've done to deserve this amazing child!

Family Beach Trip 2011 Part 1

We took a trip to the beach with Daniel's family to the Seacrest/Rosemary beach area a couple of weeks ago. A good time was had by all! Lots of eating, laughing, pool and beach time & bike rides. I asked Carson her favorite thing about the trip and she said "playing with Ava". It has not been easy this week....getting back into the swing of things. Until our next fun vacation we'll think about all of the fun we had on this one!!

We had so many fun adventures while we were there....the beach, the pool, kid's block part @ Rosemary Beach, bike rides to Sweet Jeni's cupcake shop, taking baby dolls for stroller rides around the block, shopping, Seaside....I hope to post more photos of our awesome trip!!
