Princess Day at the Aquarium

A few weeks ago they had Princess Day at the Aquarium and Carson and I decided to tag along with the FitzGerald's.  The deal was to dress your child up in princess or prince gear and they could get in for free.  The adult admission was discounted too.  Pretty sweet deal except it was WAY to crowded.  Thankfully we had all been before.

We started the day at Rocky Mtn. Pizza (Mandy's suggestion) which ended up being a GT college bar/rest.  I had to remind Carson to please not touch anything in the bathroom:)  This place probably had not ever seen a toddler let alone 3 at the same table.  No but seriously it was a good, cheap & fun lunch and the girls sure did have a good time eating pizza.

Yes, I know this seems mean....but it was just to good not to snap.

Mommy & Carson time
Like I mentioned the Aquarium was packed!! Definitely best to go during the week.....but these girls love each other so much they didn't care.

What a blessing these little girls are to our lives~

Again.....sweetness

I hope these girls always remain friends.....I hope they know how special their Momma is to me and how much I treasure our friendship.  Nothing like your best friend....that's for sure.

Today I Am Grateful

**This is an older post from a few weeks ago that I meant to post but got sidetracked:)**

Today is just an ordinary Sunday.  I say ordinary but really it's perfect.  The weather is fantastic and we are just having a fun laid back Sunday at home.  I find myself lately getting pretty overwhelmed with how grateful that I feel.  Grateful that we are healthy and so are our families.

I read something that someone wrote the other day....."If you and your children are healthy then you already have everything."  You got that right.  There are a tremendous amount of people who aren't so fortunate in that area and my heart breaks for them.  Some of them I don't know but some of them I do.

I know that these things can change on a dime but today I will just say a prayer of thanks.

She Teaches Me Every Day

I took Carson last Saturday to a Gymboree class and she LOVED it!  What's not to love......tons of room to run around, fun gymnastics equipment, parachute's, etc.  Then the teacher comes out and sings songs, plays games, blows bubbles.  But the part to really put me out of my element is that the parents are just as involved as the kids.  So I am dancing and singing right alongside Carson.

Anyone who knows me knows this puts me WAY out of my comfort zone.  Number 1....I do not like to feel silly and Number 2....I'm sure not much of a dancer (not a good one anyway).

But the thing about being a parent is you'll do anything in the world for your child.  And to see them laugh and smile and just enjoy their day......yeah, you'll step right on out of your element.  Even if it means acting like a fool.

Carson is teaching me to not be quite so shy.....she sure isn't and I love that about her.  I'm pretty sure she gets that from her Daddy.  She'll walk  into a room like she owns the place.  Wish I had more of that.  I look forward to the next thing she'll show me how to do better:)

All good things must come to an end.....time to go home....time for a nap:)
